Shaping the Future

The Next 75 Years

Commitment to the Community

The Garden’s commitment to its community has never been more evident than today. While research, education, exhibition and conservation are priorities for the Garden’s long-standing mission, we have continued to invest in the comfort and convenience of our visitors. In anticipation of our 75th Anniversary year (February 2013 – February 2014), the Garden has:

  • added 200 parking spaces to accommodate visitor vehicles on busy spring and fall weekends and also for the ever popular Las Noches de las Luminarias holiday festival
  • opened a new restaurant, Gertrude’s, so named to honor one of our founders
  • renovated Ullman Terrace, maintaining its historic character and charm, to better serve visitors to the Patio Cafe, Music in the Garden concerts and many community events
